POCITYF Spring Newsletter (#3)

05 May 2021 — Welcome to POCITYF 3rd newsletter. In our previous communication, the project was about to enter its second year of activity. And here we are, more than halfway through POCITYF second stage.

Dear readers,

Welcome to POCITYF 3rd newsletter. In our previous communication, the project was about to enter its second year of activity. And here we are, more than halfway through POCITYF second stage.

Having set the backbone of the project, POCITYF team is now dedicating its effort and talent towards the development and deployment of a large repository of innovative solutions, ranging from aesthetical-compliant Building Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) to City Information Platforms, integrating a diverse group of verticals (energy, mobility, etc.), or even a Smart Lamppost with charging points for both electric cars and boats. All these and many more innovations are being pursued accordingly to our plans. Solutions that, for sure, we’ll be able to present you in a not so distant future.

Simultaneously, the consortium is densifying the engagement activities, finding creative ways to, amidst the challenges that COVID-19 continues to pose, place citizens in the role of POCITYF co-creators.

We continue to participate in events together with our sister H2020 Smart Cities projects, aiming not only to disseminate what we have been achieving, but also learning from our peers. We’re, as well, very glad to see that the working group on smart heritage cities created by EURADA within the scope of POCITYF successfully held its second meeting.

As we’re starting to walk the talk, to move from the power point to the field, we hope that you continue to accompany our journey and, more specifically, this newsletter!

Take care and see you soon,
José Campos Costa
