20 Apr 2026 — POCITYF is helping cities turn tested sustainability solutions from Évora and Alkmaar into tools for replication
POCITYF’s partner Energy@Work has been focusing on creating knowledge transfer tools to enable local action, following the success of our project’s pilot sites. By connecting Évora and Alkmaar Lighthouse Cities with six Fellow Cities, the project focuses on making replication plans effective and usable in real urban contexts.
A new infopack has just been released by POCITYF, showing how replication is approached as more than technology transfer. It combines technical, regulatory, financial, and social aspects into a structured roadmap that helps cities adapt proven solutions to their specific needs. Through workshops, technical fact sheets, and digital planning tools, cities can assess solutions, simulate implementation, and engage stakeholders. This process enables better-informed decisions and strengthens local planning.
A key takeaway from the project is that successful replication requires strong coordination within municipalities and continuous dialogue with stakeholders. By integrating innovation into governance and planning, cities can accelerate their transition toward sustainability.
