5th meeting of the Working Group on Smart Heritage Cities

The working group on Smart Heritage Cities has been created on the initiative of the H2020 project POCITYF, as part of the work on Clustering and Coordination with Smart City Initiatives and Partnerships.

The 5th Smart Heritage Cities Working Group meeting will be held on 4 March 2021, from 12.00 – 13.00 CET. During this event, Energy Communities will be further discussed.

The Smart Heritage Cities Working Group is a high-level discussion group aiming to gather experts and practitioners to share knowledge on the topics of smart cities and communities in cultural heritage areas.
The WG’s 5th meeting will continue to delve in various aspects of energy communities, answering questions which were not discussed during the 4th meeting entitled “Energy Driven City Renovation”.

 

About the workshop

During the 4th working group meeting, a definition of Energy Community was given. Now, the group will focus on the question “Do energy communities solve the issue of energy poverty?”

The schedule of the workshop is:

12:05pm Roundtable of introduction from participants
12:15pm Energy communities and its correlation with Energy Poverty
12:40pm Breakout rooms
12:50pm Brief summary of breakout room discussions and closing
1:00pm End of the workshop

 

Speakers

The discussion will be guided by the presentations from the speakers Ruth Borrego from the Andalusian Energy Agency and Dora Biondani of the Energy Poverty Advisory Hub.
